My hobbies are numerous and usually changing, though I can always count on music, reading, and genetics to be sources of inspiration. Right now, I'm enjoying watching new movies and catching up on about 10 years of movies that I missed during my studies.
I read loads of scientific articles a month and I also enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy, queer, LGBTQ+, and cookbooks.
I only began coding my own projects in 2018 in my spare time. I would like to learn more math and computer science to improve my coding skills.
After I completed my PhD in Genetics, I was introduced to clinical genetics by a alumni and friend of mine. I'm always excited about new developments whehther they be in 'boring' stuff like database updates, new variant assesment tools, and more inovations
When I was twelve , I moved to Bolivar, Missouri, where I attended high school and had a short stint at Missouri University Columbia. Before Missouri, I lived near Lake Ontario in Western New York. In 2001, I moved to Boston, Massachusetts-- a city where I went to school(s), grew up, ate my feelings, played entirely too much World of Warcraft, danced the Thursday nights away at the Phoenix Landing, and proudly embraced being a New Englander.
